Combination Adobe Illustration and Photoshop.

First, think 1 word what you want to do. 

I used the word "CAR" and make it like building.

lastly, I used Photoshop for painting and put the shadow with brush

Matte Painting

MATTE PAINTING

Matte painting is a painted representation of a landscape, set, or distant location that allows filmmakers to create the illusion of an environment that is nonexistent in real life.

In Matte painting, there are EDITING and PAINTING.

So, we have to create our own Matte Painting and go online search some picture to put into edit.

MY IDEA is to create floating land out of the space.

1. I research some picture what I need in my matte painting.

2. Then, I start my matte painting with create the background using a suitable brush.

 

 3. After that, I put moon for look nice and I put the star using suitable brush.

4. lastly, I put floating land on the space and I painting shadow on the floating land.

 

 I'm done my matte painting.

  For this assignment, our lecturer want us to choose a portrait from internet and use complementary color to paint it as digital painting.

The objective of this assignment is lecturer want us more understand about the detail example ( where is shadow, where is highlight, where is brightness )

In the progress, we also have use value that we learn before.

I choose Tom Cruise as my portrait.

 

Firstly, use pencil to draw outline of the portrait. Then I used brush for painting the portrait.

I use medium of blue color as the base of face color. Next, I paint the base color. After that, I paint the face using medium color.Then, I paint using dark color to show the detail. 

Then I add brown color to show the hair and add up light color to make hair detail. 

Lastly, I done my portrait.

As a basic, our lecturer teaches us how to use VALUE in digital painting to make the 

    object look more 3D.

First, choose the color we want example ( yellow ) and choose 2 or 3 lightness and 

    darkness of color.

After that, use MAGIC WAND TOOL to select the box for prevent us paint the background. After selection, fill the box with lighter yellow as the base color.

After we put all the color we choose, the final step is use the brightest color to make 

    a highlight. Highlight is the last step to make object more 3D and realistic. So, we    

    can go choose the more lightness purple or white.

So, this is the result tat use value to make it look more nice and 3D. After that, we    

    ordered to create other shape and paint them with value.
